Redundancy Seminars
Redundancy is an all too familiar situation that has affected many thousands of employees during the last 20 years. Naturally its impact can be significant, the intensity being dependent upon the individual’s circumstances.
For example, someone over the age of 50 who has been a member of their company pension scheme from inception, may choose to take their benefits straight away, and if they have little or no mortgage outstanding (or other outgoings), may welcome it.
On the other hand, someone younger or who has changed jobs frequently during their working life (and has significant outgoings), may have very different thoughts.
Of course, it can also be an opportunity to re-consider one’s lifestyle completely – perhaps retraining for a change of career, or maybe starting a business using some or all of the redundancy payment.
Our redundancy seminars are designed to create an interactive environment to put delegates at their ease. This is particularly important for this subject, as delegates often express feelings of isolation because of the prospect of redundancy; expressing their views in smaller groups often helps to alleviate many of their concerns.
CBG Solutions seminars address their questions, rebalance the many pre-conceived ideas on what redundancy means and highlights the positives and opportunities available. We also examine the financial implications of redundancy and how to cope with them, including:
- State Benefits - understanding your entitlements and claiming them
- Protection - protecting your family and dependents
- Pension options - examining your options
- Mortgages, loans and debts - applying sensible management of debt
- Endowment policies – examining your options
- Redundancy lump sum – considering options to suit your circumstances
"I originally viewed this seminar with apprehension but found it to be excellently presented, in terms I could understand. Presenters were very knowledgeable."
